From Vision to Reality: A Journey of Patience and Purpose

Every big vision starts as a small spark. For me, that spark ignited back in 2022, when I decided to write a book that would hold space for Black women navigating corporate spaces. What began as an idea has grown into something far greater—a love letter to resilience, sisterhood, and the power of shared stories.

The process hasn’t been linear. Between juggling my role at ServiceNow, stepping into new ESG challenges, and focusing on my personal health, there were moments when I had to pause and let the work breathe. I wanted this book to be more than a rushed project—I wanted it to be a space of reflection and inspiration. Now, after rounds of revisions and countless moments of doubt and clarity, the manuscript is with my editor.

This moment reminds me of the lessons I’ve learned about trust and collaboration. Much like my editor is now shaping my manuscript, the mentors and allies in our lives help us refine our paths. Black women, in particular, are often called upon to carry so much—navigating spaces not always built for us, breaking barriers, and thriving in the face of adversity. It’s no small feat, and this book is my way of celebrating and honoring that journey.

As I move through these final stages of publication, I’m reflecting on the importance of patience and the beauty of shared experiences. The book is a testament not just to my journey but to the collective wisdom and resilience of so many incredible Black women.
